Day 1 Luxor East Bank – Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple
Your flight will arrive into Luxor Airport where you will be met by your Tour Guide and driver who will escort you to your designated Cruise ship where you will be checked in and shown to your room.

Depending on the arrival time of your flight a meal/snacks will be provided on the ship.

You will be taken by your Tour Guide via car/mini-bus where you’ll visit the following site::

Karnak Temple

Karnak Temple is located on the East Bank of the the River Nile and is well over 2000 yrs old. The temple was previously known as Ipet – Isut ( “The most sacred of places”) and is dedicated to the Theban triad Amun, Mut and Khonsu comprising of temples chapels, kiosks pylons and obelisks it is one of the largest temples to have been built in Egypt.

Luxor Temple

This is a magnificent building that was built in dedication to the rejuvenation to kingship and it is believed that many a king was crowned and coronations were held in this magnificent open air temple.

(Your Tour Guide will explain in-depth about the history of the temples).

You will then return to your ship for dinner and entertainment.

Day 2Luxor West Bank – Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and Statue of Colossi Memmon
After breakfast you will be taken by Tour Guide to visit the following sites :-

Valley of the Kings ( this will include entry tickets to visit 3 of the tombs).

Valley of the Kings is located on the West Bank of Luxor and is the ancient burial site of the Pharaoh’s.
Here you will be able to visit three tombs (this will be dependent on which tombs are available for viewing on the day). You will also have the option to visit the well-known tomb of Tutankhamun (which was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922) however his remains are now situated at Cairo Museum (Please discuss further with your tour guide if you wish to visit).

After visiting The Valley of the Kings you will be taken to Hatshepsut Temple – Djeser Djeseru (Holy of Holiest)

Hatshepsut was known as the second female Pharaoh in Egypt and was the wife of Thutmose II and was part of the 18th Dynasty. Hatshepsut ruled from 1479 – 1458 BC.

Hatshepsut was known for establishing trade networks and embarking on a prolific programme of building, including her amazing temple.

Finally, you will visit the statue of Colossi Memnon.

These wonderful massive statues are of Amenhotep III. Carved into the stones alongside him are his wife Tiye and his mother Mutemwiya and the side panels depict the Nile God Hapi.

You will then return to your ship by car / mini bus where you’ll enjoy a specially prepared buffet lunch while sailing to Esna. You will also be able to enjoy the view of Esna Water Lock.

The ship will continue to cruise to Edfu City where you can relax and take in the beauty of the night skies.

Dinner will be served on the ship.

The ship will dock overnight in Edfu City.

Day 3Visit – Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples
Your day will begin with an early morning visit where you will be taken by horse and carriage to Edfu Temple.

The Temple is located on the West Bank of the Nile and is one of the largest and well-preserved temples in Egypt. It is believed to be one of the oldest which is dedicated to the Falcon God Horus.

After your tour, you will return to the ship for breakfast. The ship will set sail to Kom Ombo city to visit Kom Ombo Temple.

While cruising to Kom Ombo /city lunch will be served (the time will be advised by your Tour Guide).

Kawm Umbu also spelt Kom Ombo / Kum Umbu is situated on the Nile between Aswan and Edfu (Upper Egypt)
Here you will be able to explore this unique double Temple which boasts courts halls, sanctuaries and rooms which are dedicated to two Gods. The Southern half was dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek, the God of fertility and creator of the world with Hathor the goddess of love and joy. The Northern part is dedicated to Horus the “God of the Sun” and Tasenetnofret “The Good Sister”.

After returning back to the ship, we will set sail for Aswan City where the ship will dock you will stay overnight.

Dinner and entertainment will be provided.

Please discuss with your tour guide if you wish to visit Aswan City.

Day 4Visits – Aswan High Dam and Philae Temple
After breakfast you will be taken by your Tour Guide from the ship to visit the following sites:

Aswan High Dam (Arabic – Al- Saad al – Ali)

Enjoy the view and the size of this beautiful creation. The construction of the Dam began on 9th January 1960 and was completed on 21st July 1970. The dam is more than two miles long. The massive $1.12 billion dam ended the cycle of flood and drought in the River Nile region.

Philae Temple
You will be taken by boat to visit Philae Temple in Greek (P-aaleq) and in Ancient Egyptian (Pilak) meaning ‘the end,’ or remote place.

Construction of the temple begun by Ptolemy II and completed by the Roman Emperors. The Temple was dedicated to the goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus.

Due to the construction of the Dam, in order to preserve the temple it was moved from its original site to the island.
(your tour guide will provide further information on the day).

After your tours you will travel back to Aswan City and board the ship for lunch.

After Lunch you will have the opportunity to discuss with your Tour Guide further programmes available in the afternoon.

Dinner will be served on the ship in the evening.

Your entertainment on the night will be a traditional Nubian Show.

Day 5Flight Home
After breakfast you will checkout from your cabin. Dependent on your departure time you will remain on the ship until you need to be escorted to the airport. You will be taken by car/mini-bus for your return flight home.

Lunch will be provided if required (you will be able to discuss further with your Tour Guide).
